Can Pick-ups go Green?!?
Hey, I like Double cabin pick-up cars (ex. Toyota Tundra, D-max, RAM) But I also love my big blue planet so I was wondering if the system of these cars could be changed from Petrol to Natural Gas or Solar cells?!
Just burn carbon negative synthetic gasoline synthesized via Fischer Tropsch synthesis from syngas generated by Biomass gasification/pyrolysis with the charcoal byproducts being sequestered as biochar.
Gasoline and diesel are just stored energy, what makes them bad is us refining them from fossil reserves stored over millions of years. If we made them from biomass or directly from the atmosphere then they wouldn't be a problem and could even reverse some of the damage.
Mind you, such carbon negative versions of gasoline and diesel would be much more expensive then our current fuels refined from fossil reserves that is unless you can factor all the hidden costs of fossil fuels such as the wars and political maneuvering involved.
