What type of grow light would be best?
I'm planning on growing English Lavenders indoors, because the outdoor conditions would bad for them--lots of rain, moist soil, and little sun.Therefore I need to buy grow lights. Can anyone tell me what type of grow light would be best, and maybe what website I could buy it from (preferably for a reasonable price)?
Also, additional information would be nice, like how often I should turn it on, and how long it should be on for, how high above the plants it should be, etc.
I'm growing Adenium, a South African plant requiring lots of light. I'm using HID high pressure sodium and metal halides from my pot growing days. About two thousand dollars worth of lighting. A lot of money for lavender you can buy at a craft store dried for a couple dollars. When growing pot I would leave the lights on 24/7 until I wanted them to bud (bloom). Then I would put the HP sodium's on a 10 hour cycle and turn off the halides. I use the same technique on my Adenium. RScott
