As summer approaches, Charlestonians are driving — or looking at driving — all kinds of contraptions. They are piloting boats into fishing waters, mulling over alternate fuel cars and, in a few cases, chugging around on antique tractors.

Based on what you know about alternative fuels so far, would you recommend a company to move into the alternative fuels for the future?

There are no alternative fuels that are very promising so far, but there is a lot of money in the development of alternative fuels. I would do the development thing, and if you are successful, your new energy source will make billions.
